I am getting tired of seeing this site. I come home today from my uncle's funeral. He had a flag draped coffin, He served his country in the US Army and he went to Vietnam. He came back in one piece, however, I think he died from cancer from that era. My uncle was a good warrior, a good father and a good prankster. He will be missed, R.I.P..I am tired of seeing flag draped coffins. The recent one will be a Chambers Count Deputy. He was shot and killed today answering a shots fired call. He worked for as a Texas Game Warden prior to joining the Chambers County Sheriff's Department. He wanted to spend more time with his family. He knew what he was doing, he was a warrior. I do not know him personally, but I don't need to. I salute him, Brother go in peace your duty is done, RIP Deputy Shane Detwiler, 31.

I agree....I get tired of seeing them, too. Too many lives lost that ought not to be. Too many have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
My prayers with you as you mourn the loss of an uncle and a "brother."
I couldn't believe it. Lost his life to someone getting their water shut off. I hope the guy rots in hell for taking this father of three away from his kids. Rest in peace Deputy Detwiler.
My condolences to your family!

Prayers for the family and friends of the police officer.
I heard about this on the radio while on the way to Vacation Bible School yesterday. I'm getting tired of hearing about another one lost. Isn't enough enough?
